The Envy of the World

Our "free" medical care, that is - we're always told how admired and envied it is. I had the standard experience of it yesterday - a requisition for basic yearly bloodwork. I spent a total of TWO HOURS sitting in a lab, waiting for the 30 seconds required to draw 3 vials of blood. Then I had to produce a urine sample, which was not easy since I'd just pissed away the entire morning, but I managed somehow.
