There's a kind of hush, all over the world

Including our house, because..."Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" has just been delivered!

It will be silent on this blog for approximately 2 days, as I read this book, and when I come back I will provide a little review, filled with copious spoilers.

Mwahahahaha...I've finished the book...I could spoil it for Nich... :-)

My sister has just finished Book 5. She called me up, horrified, saying "You could have told me [X happens]!!!"

Finished it. I cried at many points. Very, very good.

I'll be interested to see what you think of it.

Yes, my partner is having an affair with Harry Potter this weekend, as well.

She's halfway through it. She just looked at me, astonished, when I said, "Oh, just go read the last page, or last chapter first."

Earlier, I hid the book under the ottoman just to watch her freak out...

"Hmmm, I don't know...maybe Malfoy took it?"

Oh well.

LOL, Min. My boyfriend complained on Sunday (when I was halfway through my second read) that he was beginning to feel like a Harry Potter widow. I like the ottoman trick...

I only cried once, early on, but it made me put down the book for 15 or 20 minutes. Several other points made me profoundly sad (you can probably guess which ones), but I only came close to tears again once.

Harry takes the One Ring to Mordor, throws it into a ventilator shaft and blows up the Death Star. Hermione's husband, a wizard named Victor Laszlo, is not, if fact, dead and Harry, who was once in love with her, insists that she and Victor take Harry's spells of transit and leave Casablanca. Then Harry shoots a wizard named Strasser and then he and Ron leave for a wizardry school in central Africa and Harry says something about "the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

Oh and Rosebud is Harry's first wand.

Sorry, Doc.

Ooo, don't forget that the White Witch and Voldemort had a love child named Paris Hilton...

I was telling my family two books ago that Snape wasn't what he was made out to be. I hope she writes more books. If Harry indeed became an Auror she could write mysteries for years, if that's what she wants to do.

Fione! Gosh, Nick, for a moment there I thought you meant "Firenze", and that would be downright...weird.
